55 Fiction # 27 - First Love

Could never have had enough, but it was time to make a call. To do or not to do was the question that kept oscillating in her mind freaking her out. After maneuvering her mind for long hours she could finally come to terms with it and decided to return the book to the library.

Love

I am participating in A to Z Challenge 2016 where we write 26 posts in a month each day on one word from A to Z barring Sunday's.  Today's word is "L".

My theme is “Human Characteristics”.  Today I chose “Love”.

Love has compassion
Love is kind

If you speak human and boast of an beatific tongue,
But don’t have love,
Your words will always be wrong,
You would have nothing left in the trove,

Love has passion
Love isn’t blind

If your hearts beating a patriotic song,
But you don’t have love
It’s just resonating empty gong

Love is angelic
Love has hope
Loves has belief
Love helps cope

If you seek worldly bliss,
Possess all the strength and means,
Without love it is all in vain,
At cessation, there will be no gain.

~ KARAN

We keep running behind materialistic things and forget about people who need us and vice-versa. In our quest of worldly pleasure we forget to simple things in life which bring happiness and the biggest of all is to have love in our life without which there is absolutely nothing of gain that we will take to our tomb.

It Was Love When # 6

It Was Love When
be drenched in rains
or on snow clad terrains
in dark trenches
or gloomy vast avalanches
in deep blue sea, white dessert or bay
he made sure his country, shall free always stay
even laying down his life in a spree
he has sworn to keep his motherland free

Lost Message

He had been religiously reading her blog, following her page and left comments very frequently. Taking undue advantage of the genre and language of her latest post, he subtly put forward that question under a veil in his comment.

It Was Love When # 5

It Was Love When
with first light of morning
the rays kissed the grass
left the dew glowing
rising from the carcass
absorbing the light
it basked in the bright

It Was Love When # 4

It Was Love When
when you fall down,
there is nothing bright,
he holds you upright,
stands firmly by you
in the dark of the night,
makes sure, he is always in sight

It Was Love When # 3

It Was Love When
nothing was going right,
the world was against me
with all its might,
you held my hand tight,
whispered in my ears slight,
don’t worry son I’m with u,
everything will be alright

It Was Love When # 2

It Was Love When
you signed my report card,
when I fared bad in exam
even though I fought with you hard,
you always helped me stay calm
when late you are my alarm,
you signed my leave notes
when I bunk my class,
but I have to pay bribes to you alas!!!

It Was Love When # 1

It Was Love When,
after a huge fight,
no talks and not standing each other’s sight,
we cuddled up and slept together all night.

Love & Happiness

Thirteenth day of this year’s National Poetry Writing Month. Today’s (optional) prompt is a “replacement” poem. Pick a common noun for a physical thing, for example, “desk” or “hat” or “bear,” and then pick one for something intangible, like “love” or “memories” or “aspiration.” Then Google your tangible noun, and find some sentences using it. Now, replace that tangible noun in those sentences with your intangible noun, and use those sentences to create (or inspire) a poem.

Heartbeat - You Are My Guding Light

Ninth day of this year’s National Poetry Writing Month. Today’s prompt is let’s rewrite a famous poem, giving it our own spin. While any famous poem will do, if you haven’t already got one in mind, why not try your own version of Cesar Vallejo’s Black Stone Lying on a White Stone? If you’re not exactly sure how such a poem could be “re-written,” check out this recent poem by Stephen Burt, which riffs on Vallejo’s.

Inanimate Love

Eight day of this year’s National Poetry Writing Month. Today’s prompt is to write a love poem . . . but the object of the poem should be inanimate. You can write a love poem to your favorite pen, the teddy bear you had as a child (and maybe still have), or anything else, so long as it’s not alive!

My 18th B’day

Today I turned 18”
Postman was at the door at his usual hour,

from the address at the back”
                                    -  Paa

Looking heavenwards I thank him, for he had it all planned but his demise

He was so excited; they were meeting after months,
finally she was there, they hugged, greeting & gifts exchanged
he went down on his knees – are u ready? he asked
anxiously looking at her, with bated breath he waited for her to speak,
finally she said - Yes, you are free and he was on cloud nine!!!
