Grey ,Crimson & Blue

Seventh day of this year’s National Poetry Writing Month. Today's’ prompt is Take a good look outside your window. Spend a minute or so jotting down all the nouns you see outside. Tree. Car. Bus. Dog. Then spend a minute or so writing down all the colors you see. Finally, think about taking place outside. Is the wind blowing? “Blow.” Is someone walking their dog? “Walk.” Spend a minute or so writing down these verbs. Now you've got a whole list of words from which to build a poem, mixing and matching as you go. Happy writing!

I am participating in A to Z Challenge 2014 where we write 26 posts in a month each day on one word from A to Z barring Sunday's. Today's word is "G".

Outside my window at office at Mumbai I see the Marine Drive and here I have penned down a casual day of a Mumbaikar at the queens necklace, that feels one with hope, joy and determination.

standing on the fringe
to the horizon, I see
clings the sea

through the morning dew
the sky, I see
is crimson new

soaking in its blue
the people, I see
get their hue

walking towards work,
they, I see
are awestruck

in the afternoon,
for whoever there stood
the trees, I see
act like a protecting hood

herds and hoards,
come there one and all
there is happiness here, I see
in every soul

a hard fought time,
a forgetful day,
coming here, I see
everything has gone without a say
some soak in love,
some find solace,
coming here, I see
giving up loath,
towards the goal, one turns
with determination & growth,

come night and buzzing it roars
jostling away averse morning
comes alive, I see
even the lifeless
when illuminates the queens necklace
